The construction of wastewater treatment plants for irrigation of parks and public spaces, is a project which places the city of Leon at the forefront of sustainable practices that aims to provide the population with a high quality of life. The expectation is training in the culture of water reuse while creating opportunities and encouraging green areas for the population.
The Water and Sewerage System of Leon (SAPAL), motivated by environmental responsibility and commitment to citizenship through a culture of water reuse, has developed various strategies around this issue. This organism has designed and built treatment plant that meets different objectives according to the needs that have arisen as a result of economic, social and cultural upswing that an innovative city like Leon has.
In this project more than 3,900 m of TOM® PVC-O pipes of 110 mm to 315 mm diameter and PN 16 bars were installed for the construction of a distribution line of treated water for agricultural irrigation.
